NNPC Retail Limited has hosted the second edition of its women-focused initiative, She-Fix 2.0, aimed at promoting inclusion and expanding opportunities for women in Nigeria’s energy sector.
The event, held in Abuja, brought together over 300 women professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders under the theme “Driving Diversity, Powering Progress.” The programme focused on strengthening female participation in technical and professional fields within the energy industry.
Speaking at the event, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim emphasised the need to increase women’s access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) roles. She called for stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors to scale initiatives that empower women.

Also speaking, Sophia Mbakwe noted that women already play critical roles within NNPC Limited, stressing the importance of further strengthening their contributions through deliberate empowerment efforts.
The Managing Director of NNPC Retail, Huub Stokman, represented by Valentina Kojo, highlighted the need for empowerment initiatives to move beyond rhetoric and deliver practical, visible, and sustainable outcomes.
In his remarks, Andy Odeh underscored the growing influence of women in reshaping the energy sector, noting that their leadership contributes to organisational growth and broader societal development.
The event featured panel discussions, live demonstrations, business exhibitions, and networking sessions designed to equip participants with skills, exposure, and opportunities within the energy value chain.
