The company and her team received several awards, recognizing their contributions to the petroleum exploration industry.

The event’s climax saw SCiN winning the Best Exhibitor and Platinum Sponsor awards, a testament to their industry leadership. The team, led by Senior Production Geologist Abidemi Belgore, clinched first place in the Technical Paper Presentation. Senior Geophysicist Ernest Ikpolo also secured the third position in this prestigious category.

Adding to the commendations, Shell’s Manus Kanu and Philip Ajaebili received the NAPE Award of Excellence for Service. The conference recognized Shell’s innovative contributions and educational exhibitions, which drew significant attention from industry professionals and students alike.

A highlight of the NAPE conference was the appointment of Shell’s Growth and Portfolio Project Lead, John Bosco Uche, as the President-elect of NAPE. This honor reflects Shell’s strategic role in guiding and supporting the oil and gas industry, especially indigenous companies.

Elohor Aiboni, Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), represented by Exploration Manager Gogo Eneyok, received the awards on behalf of Shell. Eneyok emphasized Shell’s commitment to reshaping strategies for the benefit of Nigeria, its partners, and the local service industry. He praised the awards as recognition of the excellence and diligence of Shell’s staff in Nigeria.

The SCiN exhibition was a focal point during the four-day conference, offering educational posters, learning sessions for aspiring engineers, and free medical services. Hundreds of attendees benefited from health checks and medication, highlighting Shell’s commitment to community well-being.
